Professional Bio

I've been fascinated with personal computers from childhood, so when I finished high school I decided to pursue software development as a career. I love creating something from nothing and solving people's problems, two things I've been fortunate to do for clients in education, health care, marketing, and more. The technology I consider my favorite has shifted over the years, but right now it's JavaScript for its enormous, supportive community, and the extent to which its performance has increased in recent years. I'm kind, honest, and persistent, and when I'm not working, I love to play soccer.

  • Gases Del Caribe, an app for Colombian natural gas companies to manage work orders. The app is being built with JavaScript, Node.js, PostgresSQL, Nest.js, and React.
Streamline Social November 2015 - October 2020

Full-Stack Developer

Streamline Social is a digital product management and development agency. As a Full-Stack Developer, I worked on:

  • An online learning platform for the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation, a non-profit. I updated the platform to version 2.0 and worked on both the front and back ends of the site, which was built with Drupal 7, MySQL, jQuery, Angular.js, SASS, and Docker.
  • Whole Life Software, a telehealth and scheduling system for Compassionate Health that serves more than 3,500 patients per month. I introduced new features and performed maintenance on a system that uses Symfony, jQuery, Zoom API, Squareup API, and Vagrant.
  • A clinical decision support platform for Zana Health, which uses cannabis to treat chronic conditions. The platform combines a digital guidance and mobile monitoring system to answer key questions including intake method, dosage, medicine type, and place of purchase. The project was built with Docker, Symfony, Flask, Angular.js, SASS, and various API integrations.
  • Cap Business Case, a tool to capture, communicate, develop, and advance sales opportunities. The app was built with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgresSQL, Nest.js, TypeORM, React, and Docker.

  • Database Audit Information System (DAIS), a centralized information system that processes, stores and visualizes auditable data for the Universidad del Valle in Cali. Tables, columns and actions can be configured as auditable or not from the central system, which monitors actions by means of a client that is installed on the database server, and which is communicated through WebSockets to a notification system. The system was built with Docker, Symfony, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Ratchet WebSocket.
