Professional Bio

I've always loved technology, so for me, programing was the best way to be part of the tech world. I love being able to create something new and valuable. My favorite technology is Ruby. Its simplicity is awesome, and it's accessible to anyone and lets them become whatever they want, from a developer to the CEO of their own company. I love to code, and when I'm not working, I enjoy playing video games with my friends.

iugu June 2020 - February 2021

Software Developer

iugu provides payment solutions for businesses. As a Software Developer, I worked on:

  • A PCI Compliance payment information manager, which manages clients' payment information with rigorous security standards. I maintained the project, squashed bugs, and refactored aspects of the code base, including the class that manages the credit card authorization step. The app was built by myself and five developers using Ruby on Jets, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, Kibana, Datadog, and Airbreak.
  • Implenenting Kount, an anti-fraud tool. The app was modified to use client data to validate the level of trust of each transaction. I implemented the API for the main project to consume and update the client/purchase data using Ruby on Jets, AWS Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • iugu PIX, a Brazilian instant payment method using PIX. Along with seven developers, I delivered the entire project within three weeks despite the failure of a major service provider. It was completed with Ruby on Jets, AWS Lambda, and DynamoDB.
Bio Ritmo Academia December 2018 - June 2020

Ruby on Rails Developer

Bio Ritmo delivers high standard fitness at a low cost with its SmartFit brand. As a Ruby on Rails Developer, I worked on:

  • An invoice management system for all products and brands within Bio Ritmo to generate invoices, for every country where the company had a presence. I implemented new countries into the platform and provided overall maintenance of the project, which was built with Ruby, AWS SQS, and PostgreSQL.
  • An app for generating monthly deferred revenue reports. I added new features and provided maintenance in Clojure, which I learned specifically for this project.
  • An NPS service to communicate with Bio Ritmo brands to get customer experience data and generate NPS reports to improve business decision-making. I improved performance by changing how some NPS where calculated so that all calculations occurred in the database, which significantly improved speed. It was created with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq.
