Senior Software Engineer

At FullStack Labs, I'm responsible for delivering the best possible experience for our clients each and every time. I'm currently working on:

• BenchPrep, a full-suite learning management system. As a member of small, four person team, I provide front- and back-end development support in Ruby on Rails, Coffeescript, Backbone, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and Mocha.

My previous work has included:

• GoldenCat, a facial recognition tool that delivers advertisements based on the facial attributes of the person watching the screen. Our four person team built the app from scratch, using JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Mocha.
• Bestest, a mobile polling app. I was brought onto the project shortly after the MVP was launched, and I introduced some pretty cutting-edge features to handle multimedia polls in a group experience. The app was built in React Native, Node.js, MySQL, and HTML5.
• Learning Without Tears, a robust learning management system that helps educational organizations manage classes, students and evaluations. I focused mostly on improving overall performance, implementing coding best practices, and improving the test suite. The app was built in React, GraphQL, Apollo, Typescript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Jest.

Chief Technology Officer

useit is a web and mobile solutions provider based in Cali, Colombia. As CTO, I:

• Developed PachiApp, an app that helps users plan and make healthy meals. I oversaw a five-person team's development of the entire app using React Native, Django, and PostgreSQL.
• Built Chiquitines, an app for health care providers to handle pediatric medical histories. I led a small team of three developers, and built the app using a combination of Django, JavaScript, HTML5, and PostgreSQL.
• Created Odinsa, an app for companies to manage their internal logistics. The app was built with React Native, Django, and PostgreSQL.
• Modernized Actualicese, a website with tools and advice for accountants. I spearheaded a team of five that gave the site its first new look in years using WordPress, HTML5, and JavaScript.

Nuevosmedios October 2012 - April 2014

Implementation Director and Development Engineer

Nuevosmedios is a learning platform for companies to share knowledge with employees. During my time both as Development Engineer and Implementation Director, I:

• Helped overhaul the entire platform to make it smoother, more responsive, and less buggy overall. I worked on a team of five and contributed both front- and back-end development using Django, jQuery, Backbone, PostgreSQL, Joomla, and WordPress.
