Professional Bio

I've always had a taste for computers and technology, so when I went to college, I put an extra focus on my programming classes. I love the experience of growth and the satisfaction of lifelong learning. Development is a constant challenge — whatever you learned yesterday may not be the best solution tomorrow, so you always have to keep yourself up to date. I've been privileged to work for companies like National Geographic and Autodesk, working on sites visited by millions of users as well as those tailored to the members of a single organization. Of all the technologies I've worked with, I most appreciate JavaScript. It was the first language that helped me go deep into programming, and it's always evolving. I'm committed, helpful, and flexible, and I enjoy playing videogames, learning new music on guitar and piano, and watching sports.

Employment History

Senior Software Engineer

Globant April 2017 - October 2017

Front End Developer

Globant is a multinational IT and software development company. As a Front-End Developer, I:

  • Helped build Dell Marketplace, a site for users to set up and manage their Dell cloud services. I worked on an eight-person UI team and connected the UI with a RESTful API provided by the client. The project was built with Angular, RJX, SASS, and Java.
  • Contributed to the development of the National Geographic website. I built the UI for the user profile view, including all editing options, and built components for use across various NatGeo properties. The site and its components were built with JavaScript, Bash, React, Axios, Ava, Redux.js, and npm.
  • Worked on the site for the Young Olympic Games, which lets delegations from every country set up and manage their profiles, athletes, and schedules. The site, previously built on older technologies like JQuery, was refactored to include newer frameworks like React. The project also involved working with Drupal, Laravel, and SASS.
  • Helped develop the intranet for Autodesk, one of the world's largest producers of design software. The intranet lets Autodesk employees set up and manage their profiles and submit equipment requests. I worked on the UI of the intranet, which was developed in Angular.js, SASS, Java, and Spring.
