Professional Bio

I decided I wanted to be able to not just use technology, but also to create things that help as many people as possible and make their lives easier and better. I'm currently building out the order management system for Benjamin West, one of the largest interior supply companies in the world, and in the past have made a chat app for a chain of Colombian pharmacies and built a site to facilitate business and investment on the Colombian Atlantic coast. I love working in JavaScript for its universal applicability, whether on the front end, back end, or in the Internet of Things. I'm disciplined, studious, and joyful, and I like exercising and spending time with my friends.

MayaSoft December 2016 - Present

Software Engineer

MayaSoft is a company with more than 20 years of helping global customers successfully implement their diverse software solutions. As a Software Engineer, I:

  • Developed the renewal system for the Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce, a trade organization promoting business and investment in the region. The system allows users to create or renew either their commercial registry with the Chamber. I contributed both front- and back-end development on an app built with Angular, Java, ADF, OracleSQL, REST, and SOAP.
  • Built a chat app for Copsevir, which runs a network of pharmacies throughout Colombia. Along with two other developers, I built the front-end with Angular despite the site itself being configured in a way hostile to the framework, and the back end with Node and MongoDB. The app also utilizes Dialogflow.
  • Created an app that allowed a company to automate their cashiers check closing process across all branches. I was in charge of building the mobile app using React Native, which lets supervisors scan and upload the receipts generated on their points of sale. I also worked on the image-processing back-end using Django. The software also utilizes UiPath, Angular, PostgreSQL, and Digital Ocean Spaces.
