Professional Bio

I always liked mathematics and solving problems when I was in school, so I decided to pursue a career that would allow me to apply both — and that was Computer Science. My favorite programming language is JavaScript. I like the stack of React because it is simple and makes no major distinction between HTML/CSS/JS and integrates them very well in Components. I'm passionate, responsible, and hardworking, and when I'm not working I enjoy playing soccer.

Employment History

FullStack Labs March 2021 - Present

Senior Software Engineer

At FullStack Labs, I'm responsible for creating client solutions using React, Node.js, and more.

Tarmac June 2020 - March 2021

Software Developer

Tarmac helps clients create dynamic, multi-disciplined project teams from a wide range of technical service areas. As a Software Developer, I worked on:

  • NGCOne gem, a Ruby gem to wrap communication with the API for NGC, a company that specializes in gift cards. I developed and tested new functionalities, peer reviewed code changes and added climate_control gem to easily test the gem in different environments.
  • A communication app that provides a mechanism to allow the user to define when communication should be raised and for which members. I developed new triggers and criteria to raise communications as well as to let users raise them every day at a chosen time. It was built with Ruby on Rails and Stimulus.js.
Mercado Libre April 2019 - June 2020

Senior Software Analyst

Mercado Libre is the largest eCommerce platform in Latin America. As a Senior Software Analyst, I worked on:

  • An app that diplays the top products on the site's promotional landing page. I created a proxy application between the front and back ends to retrieve products and filters that also tracks product metadata. I significantly reduced the time the front end takes to get product information. The app was built with Java (Spring), React, Node.js, Goland, and Android.
  • An app that creates, edits, and displays the size chart for apparel products. I maintained the code base and fixed bugs, including prickly ones that made it difficult to integrate with third parties. The app uses React and Node.js.
  • An API to calculate product credibility. The solution resulted in a major improvement in how credibility was calculated and was implemented using a sync approach that fetches all the data required by the credibility formula to avoid waiting for irrelevant data. It was written with Python and Golang.
Ingenious March 2017 - April 2019

Software Developer

Ingenious is a design studio that builds products based using the principles of Behavioral Design. As a Software Developer, I worked on:

  • MyFertility, a platform to improve the patient experience in assisted fertility clinics by simplifying procedures for prospective parents and providing fertility doctors with the right information at the right time. I worked as a full-stack developer and built numerous features for the platform, including one that allows the user to easily navigate, search and filter cryo inventory information about users. I also provided system maintenance and testing. The app was built on Ruby on Rails and Ember.js.
OpenJAF September 2016 - March 2017

Software Developer

OpenJAF specializes in software for the travel industry. As a Software Developer, I worked on:

  • SNS, a fashion-based social network. I maintained and fixed bugs and migrated various functions to Ember.js.
  • GoGophr, a site with the goal of providing a highly customizable web experience. I developed new views with Angular.js and provided effective agile collaboration with the back-end team to deliver features quickly. The app was also built with Java.
