Since I had my very first computer, I was willing to learn how the computer works and makes the amazing things that help people. Later I discovered that behind those spectacular programs, there are people who use nothing but their imaginations to build the applications and programs that we use. Since then, I've been meticulously learning different kinds of programming languages and different ways to solve people's problems through technology. This passion led me to teach my kids how to build video games and be builders of technology instead of just consumers. Lately, I've been fascinated by the use cases that Machine Learning and AI can be applied to. I think that it's the future and the next big step of technology; there's a lot of value in the data that we generate on our apps and computers that could help to discover insights useful for solving a large number of society's problems.

When I was in college, I found that I could impact more people through software than most other disciplines, so I started coding as a way to help people live more stress-free lives. I love seeing how people react to well designed software and the positive implications it has for them. My favorite technology to work with is JavaScript; the syntax is clear and concise while being expressive and easy to read, and its large community ensures that libraries and major frameworks are well maintained. I'm inquisitive and honest, and when I'm not working, I enjoy learning new things (I'm currently learning how to play the guitar) and riding my mountain bike.

I've always loved the idea of an algorithm, that a computer can follow a series of steps to solve a problem. For me, coding is just plain fun, and the more I learn, the more I enjoy it. It's not just for my own gratification — each piece of software I build improves lives. I've built software for the largest bank in Colombia, a major health insurer, and an exoskeleton manufacturer. When I develop, I know that I'm part of something larger than just myself. I'm analytical, reliable, and committed. In addition to programming, I love photography and making music.

I've always been interested in computers and how they work, from their high-level abstractions to the way energy moves throughout their components. Anyone who truly loves working with computers really has two choices: become a chip architect or a software developer. In choosing the latter, I get to help our clients solve complex challenges every day — and as CEO of FullStack Labs Colombia, I get to solve the challenges of our own. Primarily, I manage the company on a day to day basis, including hiring and HR, operations, legal and accounting, and employee management. I also often lead critical projects for key clients, and still regularly commit code when time allows, including for Ekso Bionics, a manufacturer of human exoskeletons; and EKA, one of the world's largest logistics management companies. I most enjoy working with Ruby on Rails — it's highly flexible and so easy to create an app that there's no need to resort to boilerplate code. When I'm not running our Colombian operation or building new software, I like to read, watch movies and sports, and enjoy a good beer.

I've always liked computers since I was very young, from setting up their configurations to installing and playing games to learning how their applications work. As a developer, I love that I can make an impact while working on complex problems. My favorite technology is JavaScript because you can develop a full application from web to mobile and use the same language for the front and back ends. I'm organized, creative, and confident, and in my free time, I enjoy playing table tennis.

I began fixing computers early on and at some point decided I’d like to communicate with them. So I decided to learn programming and made a web system, got my first job, and have continued to progress as a developer ever since. I love solving problems. I get the same satisfaction from coding as I do from playing a strategy game or solving a puzzle. Whatever I'm doing, I want to feel challenged, and working as a developer lets me experience that. React has been my favorite experience with creating user interfaces and it's my favorite technology because it's clean, easy to understand, and fast to implement. Adding to that, TypeScript makes sure all information has meaning. They're a perfect combination. When I'm not working, I enjoy playing video games, especially FIFA.
