Professional Bio

Ever since I was a child, I have liked computers, so when the time came to apply to university, I decided to study Systems Engineering. As a developer, you are the creator of something and your mind is the limit. My favorite technology is JavaScript because it can be used for almost anything in development, from a simple front end to a complex back end, cloud service or mobile application. I'm fun, responsible and self-taught, and when I'm not working, I enjoy watching movies.

Employment History

FullStack Labs February 2021 - Present

Senior Software Engineer

At FullStack Labs, I'm responsible for creating client solutions using React, Angular.js, Java, and more.

Nicasource April 2019 - February 2021

Engineering Team Lead / Software Engineer

Nicasource is a Nicaraguan software agency. As Engineering Team Lead / Software Engineer, I worked on:

  • The website for Jack in the Box, a fast-food franchise. I maintained existing features and created new ones, including an API gateway solution that saves enormous costs; developed automated pipelines; and managed cloud infrastructure. The site was built with five other people using AngularJS, AWS API Gateway, CloudWatch, NodeJS, GraphQL, Contentful, Redis, Ruby on Rails, SASS, Heroku, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • The website for the Salt Lake Tribune, the larget newspaper serving Salt Lake City. I migrated the entire site from JSP to React and built fully reusable components for the reporters. The site was built with Arc Fusion, React, Jest, Enzyme, Docker, AWS, and Google Ads.
  • The website for Pliant, a biotechnology company. I built the new UI based on the company's rebranding and integrated a WordPress API and CMS features with Vue.js in a unified platform. The site also utilizes GreenSock.
General Directorate of Customs Services November 2014 - April 2019

Software Engineer

The General Directorate manages imports and exports for Nicaragua. As a Software Engineer, I worked on:

  • Unifying the customs office authentication and authorization processes. I was the project lead and finished the entire job in just a matter of days using Java EE, SpringBoot 2, and JWT.
  • SIFA, a system for customs inspections. I provided both front- and back-end development and integrated multiple microservices with Docker. The project was completed with React, Docker, SpringBoot 2, Oracle databases, JWT, SSO, and REST APIs.
  • A suite of products for handling all internal customs tasks. I provided general development and SysOps and created a SOAP web service to communicate between banks and customs for payments and interoperability. The products were built with SOAP, REST, Java web sockets, Java EE 7, React, AngularJS, Angular 5, Docker, and Oracle databases.
COCOMSYS December 2012 - June 2013

Software Developer

COCOMSYS is the premier Nicaraguan mobile application development business for startups, large businesses, and foundations. As a Software Developer, I worked on:

  • An imaging and radiology desktop application for medical services at Vivian Pellas Hospital, a Nicaraguan hospital. I created new features and built a drawing tool image annotation. It was built with C#, Entity, Microsoft SQL, Stored Procedures, and LinQ.
