Employment History

FullStack Labs May 2017 - Present

Senior Software Engineer

  • I'm currently a lead engineer on The Federal Draw and Reporting system, a complex financial accounting system FullStack is building for the State of California. When it goes live in the Fall of 2020 it will process billions of dollars of Medicaid payments from both State and Federal Governments to providers throughout California. This groundbreaking web application is built with React.js and a network of Node-based microservices, marking the first time the State of California has used an Agile development methodology and open source software for a project of this size.
  • Previously I led development of SpaceMX, an online commercial office-space marketplace that helps professionals find temporary office space. It was a complex, feature-rich web application that included functionality usually only seen in apps built by much larger development teams, like AirBNB and Loopnet.
  • Prior to SpaceMX, I was a lead engineer on a 20 person development team that built nine custom B2B web applications for Siemens in record time (less than a year). The applications solved a variety of business challenges for Siemens, ranging from capital equipment logistics and employee training to power plant energy management and project management.
Techmonster Sep 2014 – May 2017

Senior Web Developer

As Senior Web Developer for Techmonster, I developed web-based applications that helped freight brokers track and efficiently move freight.

  • Designed and implemented REST APIs and both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Identified business strategies that could lead to an increase in sales while improving productivity of users.
  • Implemented testing for compatibility and efficiency on a variety of software solutions, based on client requirements.
Markit On Demand Jan 2013 – Aug 2014

Web Developer

As a Web Developer for Markit on Demand, a full-service marketing firm, I developed and maintained web-based financial software for clients.

  • Developed mobile applications meant to extend solution functionality and accessibility through remote access.
  • Optimized web pages, database transactions, and API’s.
  • Implemented pixel perfect PSD to responsive HTML conversion process.
