Professional Bio

As a UX/UI Designer, I have the opportunity to create digital products that make life easier for people around the world by helping them achieve their goals with technology. At the end of the day, good design makes the world a better place. I've worked on everything from apps that help health care providers manage patient loads to complex tools to sort human cells. My favorite tool to work with is Figma — compared to software that's locally installed, Figma, which is cloud-based, allows for easier collaboration among team members. I'm a creative problem solver who's always immersed in aesthetics one way or another, so when I'm not scaring up new UI/UX designs, I love to paint.

Employment History

FullStack Labs January 2020 - Present

UI/UX Designer

At FullStack Labs, I design and build digital experiences that allow clients to achieve their goals and solve their problems. I'm currently working on:

  • A sorting app for Cytek Biosciences, which advances cancer and cell biology research by designing and building compact flow cytometry instruments used by pharmaceutical companies, CRO firms, and cancer research institutions. The app allows users to sort individual cells into specific capture tubes based on their genetic properties as analyzed by a laser at more than 30,000 cells per second. I defined the user experience and designed the Sorter UI with the client's team using Sketch and InVision.
  • Bible.is, an app that delivers the Bible in more than 1,300 languages via video, audio, and text. I designed the wireframes and the UI, designed new features for future releases, and maintained meticulous documentation for developers. The designs were created with Figma.
Consware October 2018 - January 2019

Lead UI/UX Designer

Consware is a software consultancy based in Barranquilla, Colombia. As Lead UI/UX Designer, I designed:

  • The app and branding for Gasdata, which provides software for the natural gas vehicle industry. I laid out a new experience and interface for the app, which helps gas stations, garage shops, financial institutions, and more to interact inside of one platform. The UX and UI were created in Sketch.
  • The Consware website with updated branding. The new site reorganized the display of the company's solutions for the oil and gas industry and was designed with Sketch and WordPress.
NativApps April 2017 - October 2018

UI/UX Project Manager and Designer

NativApps is a software consultancy based in Barranquilla, Colombia. As a UI/UX Project Manager and Designer, I designed:

  • Key Conservation, a mobile app that allows people to find and support wildlife organizations around the world that protect endangered species and preserve habitats. The app included a large number of features, including finding profiles, donating, and receiving notifications, among others, and required a solution to integrate all of them while maintaining simplicity. The app was designed with Adobe XD.
  • Analytics Health, a web app used by health care providers to centralize patient and business information. I lead the design team's creation of the UI and UX, which required translating the health care supply chain into workflows while maintaining hierarchy levels. The app was designed with Adobe XD.
